“I have a vivid memory from my child hood, where I am sitting at my parents dining table and drawing internal floor plans, one after another, moving this room to there and flipping another, moving doors and windows”

I grew up in country Victoria, on acreage/a working vineyard, surrounded by nature and experiencing the elements at their best. We had home grown produce, an array of animals and a European heritage that filled our environment with textures, colours, aromas, creativity and music.

My Mama would make our clothes, we would go and purchase the patterns and fabric, I would get to select the buttons to match. She crafted furniture, created garden magic, the kitchen was filled with mouth-watering scents, and she was often AWOL from inside, I would find her in the shed on the pottery wheel.

My Papa worked his day job, the vineyard on the side and would need to go away some weekends for his Reserve work. On his return, Mama had stripped the old wallpaper and installed a new design, made new curtains, or purchased new light fittings. (It become a running joke of what he would come home too next).

My sisters and I were always encouraged to be creative and crafted our school holidays away. (and still to this day, when the stars align, and we are all together around the dining table, we still love to create from simple things out of the garden) I grew up in an evolving environment and learnt without a doubt, it may take sweat are tears and that there will always be a solution.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

In my late 20’s, after travelling overseas and living in Melbourne, I decided as a mature age student to return to study. I commenced two years of full time study and obtained my Arts Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration in 2005.

16 years later I am still in the Interior Design industry. I have worked on a multitude of projects within the construction industry, for a leading builder on the Gold Coast for the past 11 years. Prior to this, I worked in Melbourne, also with major builders and leading brands. I have completed a few little side gigs along the way including renovations to bathrooms and kitchens, styling homes for sale, product, furniture and soft furnishings selections, de-cluttering and organising homes.

Building lasting relationships with clients and suppliers has been an extremely fulfilling aspect of my career. The projects I have undertaken are from small to simple, to the highly detailed and larger spaces. I have received 5 star reviews for my client service, knowledge and skills for bringing the clients dream/vision/goal to life.
